Predictions of 3000

If I had to predict life in the year 3000 I would say there will be Robot soldiers, Time machines, and that there will be an Alien invasion. There will be robot soldiers because many people do not like the thought or seeing their loved one go to war and have a chance that he/she may not come back. So I think the Presodent will fund a robot program to fight the wars for us. I think there will be time machines because humanity is coming up with new inventions everyday, so I think a time machine will come out soon. If whoever is trying to build a time machine doesn't make one, they should try to base the time machine off Dr. Emmit Browns blueprints. There will be an Alien invasion because the United States will try to communicate with any other life forms. Then some type of Alien race is going to intercept our signal and trace it back to earth.

Charles Dickens quote

This quote is true for a high school because high school definitely has its ups and downs. The best times for high school is that unless I am going to college, school is almost done for me. One other good part when I am in high school is thst I have more freedom to do whatever I want. There is also the time where I can try and figure out what college I am going to. The bad times are of course where I have tons of homework and tons of test to do and take. There are OGT, ACT tests that will give me migraines just trying to study for. Of course I still have to study for and do the tests that our teacher has planned for in the curriculum. I think that all in all the best times are going to outweigh the bad times in high school.

The phone rules

Although I do agree that cell phone usage can distract us from learning in the classrooms, I would have to disagree on the no use of phones in the hallway. Technically we're not in class when were between classes, so I don't think our phones should be taken away when we are actually not in class. So who cares if we check our email, send a text message, or go on a game. Some of the messages are important like who's gonna pick me up or ride the bus because no one is going to pick me up. All we have to do is to get to class on time and be prepared. If we are late for class then it is our fault for not being to class on time. I think our teachers just need to be on the lookout for phone usage in the classroom not in the hallway.

Standard Apps

If apps that should come standard to a magical or imaginative smartphone, I would have 2 apps that come to mind. One of that apps that should come standard is DVR app. This app would be free and how it works is that it would work on my TV or cable provider. For example if I went on vacation or on a really long road trip, I could record the shows that I want at home or on my smartphone. When my show is done recording I can watch that show or movie on my phone. One other app that would be on my phone would be an app that would help me with my homework. The app would know everything about everything, and it would know about all the subjects. The thing is it won't give you the answer, it will just help you with problem no matter how hard the problem is.

Jp #6

I woke up in a strange place just surrounded by trees. I wonder "how did I get here?" The last thing I remember is when I got hit in the head with something hard and seeing stars. I start walking around until I see something that I have never seen before. I see sharks flying around this bear that is being surrounded by flying sharks. I see the bear roaring loudly and running in circles just trying not get eaten by the sharks. It is too late, the bear swung and missed falling straight to the ground. I watch in horror as the sharks go in fast as lightning shredding the bear into pieces. I start running because I know I need to get out of here. I take one step and a branch breaks under my foot making a cracking noise. The sharks look in my direction. I start running as fast as I can, I see the edge of forest and I start running faster than I have ever ran before. Just as I am about to make it out of this dreadful forest. I trip over my own foot and fall to ground. Then it went dark.

The things that are most comforting to me

Things that are most comforting to me is my Grandpa and my Grandma's house. My Grandparents house is comforting to me because there is always food there, and in one of the living rooms they have a comfy couch and chair. It is also comforting there because I can eat all I want and sleep and do nothing there, mainly it is comforting there because I can just relax. One of the books that is comforting to me is the book "Jumper" by Steven Gould. It is comforting to me because when I read that book it feels like time is flying by and I forget what is happening all around me. Foods that comforting to me is Chinese and Pancit. Chinese food is comforting because I only get it once and a while and the food makes the day better. Pancit is comforting because my Grandma only makes it on special occasions and it feels good to have some Asian food.

I am from (My dad's side)

Many people can tell from looking at me that I am from an Asian descent, but there is more to me and where I am from than meets the eye. On my dad's side, we are Filipinos. My grandpa was in the Navy and was stationed in the Philippines and my grandma was born in Manila. My dad was also born in Manila. You can tell I am Asian not only from my skin but also by what I eat. My grandma usually makes some pancit, fried rice, and weird combinations of  vegetables and meat. At my grandma's house, there are old pictures of her in the Philippines and there is a tray of a map of the Philippines too. The saying in my family is " I will poke you in the ulo" ( it means  head in Tagalog). From what my grandma tells me, that in the Philippines it smells weird because of all of the food cooking. My grandma also tells me that the Philippines is hot, humid, there are buildings everywhere and that it is very crowded. From what I can imagine, the Philippines is like Times Square on New Years Eve.
My morals are that family should always be there no matter what and you should be a rock and never change yourself, just be who you are.

A Horse, Cow, or Chickens?

If I lived 2000 years ago and I had a chance between a horse, cow, or a dozen chicken I would choose a horse. I would not choose a cow because if I slaughtered the cow for meat I would have to the meat pretty soon because the meat would spoil. I would not choose a dozen chickens because chickens die more easily than a horse or cow. I would take a horse because other than walking a horse would be another form of transportation. A horse can make me some money too, a horse could get me a job. A job could be becoming a rancher, which I'll basically be doing is herding cattle. Since a horse is so potent, I could be plowing crops too. Just making sure the crops grow plentiful so my boss can make more money. I can also breed horses, which will also make me some more money. When I make a lot of money from all of these things I can get a cow and a dozen chickens.

Piñata

As I got picked up by this lady who thought I was the best thing ever I realized that the time for me to be smashed to pieces was only a matter of time. The character that I was paper machete after didn't help too, I mean everyone loves Batman how come I couldn't be a Power Puff Girl or aTeletubbie. When I got to the party and was set down on the table next to the cake , I saw that he was only a 4 year old and I thought to myself  " this is going to be torturous, this kid can not break me open" . The birthday party had finally started there had to be at least 100 kids just filling there faces with chocolate cake and ice cream, and there I was dangling there just hoping that my life would end quickly. Finally all the kids came outside to crush the living daylights out of me, and here this huge, beefy 4 year old with a baseball and hat that said" birthday boy". Then there was a clamor for candy " we want candy" everyone cried, and with one swing I was broken and everything went dark after that.

Journal prompt 13

If I had to spend the rest of my life as a Spartan, Viking, Knight, or a Roman Soldier, I would be a Knight. I would spend the rest of my life as a Knight because they have cool armor, the get to ride a horse, and commoners usually dream to be a Knight (basing this information on movies). I think my life would be fun and busy. I would have to workout and bulk up in order carry all of the armor. I would also have to learn how to ride a horse. I would have to practice hand to hand combat or melee fighting. I think my daily life would just be keeping on practicing, so I won't lose in battle. If I become one of the best Knights, I would become a teacher, teaching  little children on how to become a squire and later on, how to become a Knight.

Journal 11

Lauren woke late one morning and she knew if she didn't get to school on time she would get another detention. Lauren thought "What is quickest way to school?" and then it came to her. The dark forest, every abhor the Dark forest but Lauren knew she had to risk it. She started walking when she saw this creature, it was the size of a bunny but on its head there were antennas but on the antennas were eyeballs. Lauren picked up the creature and studied it Lauren thought it seemed nice and cute so she dug a hole in the ground and placed it there. When school was over Lauren decided to go see if the creature was still in the hole. When Lauren got there the creature wasn't there anymore Lauren was sure that she left him here. Lauren goes home and goes into her room and lying on the bed was this creature and Lauren decides that she's going to keep this male creature that she named Hans.

Journal Prompt 7

If I had to make a bucket list, this is what is going to be on it. First of all I would go to Las Vegas and eat at the MGM Grand Casino, because I have been there before and the buffet is awesome. I think it's very likely that I would go there again. Second on my bucket list is going to be skydiving, I think it's awesome, but I think it's unlikely because I could die and I don't want to die sooner. Third on my bucket list is that I would want to learn how to play the guitar, I do have a guitar I just don't have the determination to learn how to play the guitar. Next on my bucket list is going to be driving a Ferrari. This is really unlikely because I'm pretty sure I don't have the money to ride in one also I'm pretty short so I don't think I could actually drive one. My bucket list is not done yet,but I think so far it is pretty good.

Extra Credit for pulling weeds.

My experience pulling weeds definitely had its ups and its downs. The downs were that I kept on getting pricked from some of the weeds, because there wasn't enough gloves, and I kept on getting itchy from being outside. The ups was that I got some extra credit, and realizing that I don't want to be landscaping. I think overall that it was a good experience for me.

Journal Prompt 1

If I would have to choose between being a deckhand on a ship or being a librarian at a prestigious library, I would probably be a deckhand. I would be a deckhand because I don't get seasick easily, and I also like being on the water. Even though I like books, and I like reading books, I just don't think that I would be able to handle sitting in a library that is very quiet, and it could get very boring. There are definitely some risks involved being a deckhand there could be some dangerous waves, there could be some natural disasters like a hurricane or a tsunami. When working with the equipment there could be a malfunction  and it could seriously injure me or even kill me. With this job your definitely going to have to need some fortitude and determination in order to be a successful deckhand.
